The lovely Ashley came to let me photograph her the other day. Not just my basic boudoir / glamor work but back to my roots with artistic nudes.How happy was I???!!?!?!?! Well if you can’t tell I was happier then a Eskimo taking a trip to Hawaii ..lol

Yes you will recognize this stunning woman. Melynda Moon came over to pose for me again yesterday. Myself and Ashley Taylor of Ashlynn Imagery wanted to shake off the winter blues and get out and photograph Melynda out for Glamour  and inside for Boudoir . It was a beautiful day to shoot yesterday … a wee bit cold but when you have a trooper like Melynda you keep going. We came back to my place to get some more Boudoir photos in. Such a great way to spend a already great afternoon.

So this lovely has come to me before for boudoir photos. She gave them to her boyfriend and believe it or not he loved them… (yeah well I believed he would) and on that very same day he proposed to her… how SWEET!!..sigh

These to are so smiley and kissy I had a hard time getting photos of them not doing either..lol

I really wish these two so much happiness and laughter in their future years together!

So a little over then a month ago I meet this amazing couple for a boudoir session. I really wanted to write something but I knew there was nobody better to tell their story then them. This is what Sheri sent me today. I’m sitting here crying , I totally have fallen in love with them both. I wish you both nothing but happiness in your years to come!

“I fell in love with Alex in 2001, before I ever heard his voice, before I ever seen him. He says the same about me. In 2001 there were 2460 kms between us. Alex can recall the exact distance, down to the last km, after all in 2002 he drove it in one day. I remember the night I seen him for the first time. I remember how he pulled me in and kissed me. Perfect. He stayed for a few weeks, when he left he was on his way to a base in Germany. Once there, he was to deploy for Iraq for 18 months. We stayed in touch through all of it. In 2005 he was returning to the states. It should have been our happily ever after… Almost a year had passed, no contact. I don’t know if fate intervened that day in April 2006 or if it was pure luck but I signed into an email acct I hadn’t used since he was in Iraq. Every email was gone, except one. He had sent me his SIN and told me to keep it where I wouldn’t lose it. There was the lonely email, stuck in the drafts folder, safe from the mass delete by msn. For four years we kept in touch, until January of 2010 when each of us within 10 days of each other endured traumatic events in our lives. It was an awakening. 3 years later, here we are. For the past year Alex has been in NY, he drives up here every weekend to see us. One thing that was constant through the years from 2001 was when we would recall our perfect moments with one another. It never seemed that there were words adequate enough to explain. Seemed impossible that he would ever see how much I loved him. And vice versa. Countless times I recall him telling me how he wished I could see myself through his eyes, that I could see how I am the most beautiful thing he ever laid eyes on. How everything else pales in comparison. Enter Julia Busato, we cried when we seen the photos. She captured those moments, the words, the feelings that we have tried so hard to share with one another. Each of us has our favorites, as we remember a touch or embrace in Julia’s studio that took us away to that perfect place in our hearts. These images are priceless. Thank you Julia for capturing all of it . ”

Feeling A Bit More Me

So lately I have been trying to see where I went. I mean where did this fun , full of life, glass half full girl disappear to. I had balls (sort of lol) I never backed down for what I believed in and have always treated people as to how I wanted to be treated. For awhile now I have not seen that girl and that was scaring me. Well Friday I stepped in front of a camera again. Not a self portrait no … this was me letting someone else so me how they see me. Well I have to give hug props to the two amazing women that helped me feel good and let me see that girl I want to be again.

I would like to thank Megan for making my face look amazing and giving me the look I really wanted to have for this shoot!

Some may think I’m not showing my actual age. Some may  fantasize about me because the  image they see . So, are they attracted to the actual me or to the image? I am a  real woman who is 42 years old, who has a lazy eye, who has a hernia & overweight. That is who and what I am … I can deal with it … just hope other people can.

I will take away a day of fun , laughter and friendship.

I’m blessed to have amazing people in my life and thank them all.

Impossible Project

Well here is the start of a new and excited journey for me. Back in September a friend of mine (Paula) gave me a Polaroid sx-70 land camera … what a special gift this was for me! I love only cameras but even more when they work! I also found out that they are making film for this type of camera again so double my excitement . But I found out that film for them now are pretty expensive by my standards so a lot of my experimenting will be sparse because of that but I’m super happy that I finally got a pack of film yesterday. Only thing is hard to experiment with it when there are only 8 shots in a pack. I will have to see if I can find expired film online some where to test out with. So I am also going to be experimenting with my new Fujifilm Instant camera. So expect some blog updates on these failed attempts into getting me skilled in the art of Instant Film… come along on this journey with me. I will also love to hear some advice and stories of attempts as well!
